In an emergency, you should evaluate the situation briefly before taking action. If you need emergency assistance, refer to the following list of contacts.

Call 911 from any campus phone to reach the dispatcher at MSU Public Safety. Public Safety will coordinate off-campus response and provide assistance to local emergency crews.

Contact the Office of Environmental Safety and Health for assistance in a chemical emergency such as a spill or release. This office should be notified in most serious emergency situations, such as fires or injuries.

Contact Beth Brubaker, Lab/Safety/Waste Coordinator in case of all emergencies not requiring outside response. In a serious emergency, call 911 first. If the situation permits, call Beth Brubaker to coordinate the internal response until help arrives.
Never attempt any response for which you are not fully trained. You may create additional hazards, or become a victim yourself.
